Shawn’s POV:

“Okay. We’ll be there.” I said and cut the call.

Shoving my hands into my jeans pockets and looking out through the glass wall, I let out a tired sigh as the grim look of the future came back to me.

It wasn’t going to be easy.

Capturing them and taking back what is ours won’t be a piece of cake. Throughout all these years, they must have grown stronger; and having her in their possession just takes it to the next level.

Pinching the bridge of my nose between my thumb and forefinger, I huffed.

“No use just standing here and looking at our quiet neighbourhood, Shawn. Tell the boys and get into action,” I murmured to myself as I rocked slightly on my feet and turned away from the glass wall.

Facing my room, I walked to my bedside lamp and turned it off.

I quickly picked up my watch from the floor and kept it back on my bedside table. My hurry to pick up my demanding phone had resulted in it toppling down and stopping to tick.

Glancing at the clock on the wall behind my bed, I saw that it was still four-fifty in the morning.

No use trying to wake the others this early. The last time I did that, Jordan had kicked me way too hard in his sleep.

Shaking my head at the memory, I made my way to the bathroom and decided to just freshen up.

Stepping out of the shower, I quickly wrapped a towel around my waist and opened the bathroom door to be welcomed by the sight of my room.

My room wasn’t the overly manly type room.

From where I was standing at the present, I was faced by my bed that stood against a dark, electric blue wall which had a clock and a few pictures on it. It had a bedside table to its right and my work table a little way to its left.

To the right of me was the glass wall which looked out at the house on the other side of the road and exactly to the left of the bathroom door stood my closet. To the very extreme left corner was the door that led to the rest of the house.

I briskly walked to my closet and pulled out my clothes. Putting on my black shirt and dark, blue jeans, I checked my reflection on the closet mirror before spraying on a nice amount of perfume.

Sure, I wasn’t a boy anymore who would be crazed over bikes and rock bands, but I was still a man.

Running my hand through my hair quickly, I glanced at my wall clock for the second time today.

It read 5.20 a.m.

Putting on my sneakers, I was finally ready.

Trotting along the wooden flooring, I reached the door of my room and pulled it open.

Walking out into the corridor of the second-storey of our house, I was met by the cool morning air that sent a chill down my spine. My feet felt as if they had stepped on an ice tray.

One of the boys must have left the balcony door open even when it was like North Pole outside.

I walked along the corridor and knocked on the doors of all the sleep-heads and called out to them to get up. I did it every morning as I was conveniently roomed at the end of the corridor.

It was just my regular morning call though. No one ever woke up until it was six.

It irritated the boys to hell to be disturbed from their deep slumber but only this way did they ever wake up in the morning.
