I am too boring for
Saturdays
Or because
I am too uptight for
Fridays
But because
When the fun is
All over
And you are just left
With yourself
And your thoughts
I am the kinda girl
That you want
Laying besides you
A boy might not
Understand
that the weekend
Eventually ends
But Monday nights
Are inevitable
And men are left
Hungover
Wanting more
Than Saturday
So it makes sense
That you text me
Missing me
On a Monday night
You pushed me away
For your weekends
But you are learning
That life is made
Mostly of weekdays
And life is made better
By girls like me

Monday Nights
ΠοίησηThis past summer has been compiled of love, heartbreak, friendship, and loss. To cope with all of these feelings, I started writing poetry, and decided to compile all of these stories in a poetry book called "Monday Nights."
