Chapter 11: Pushing

It's been three days since we came back to the Lumen pack, one day since the other Alpha's arrived to watch over my growth. To be honest, it was quite annoying for me to have to be watched everywhere I go. To make it worse, Asher was constantly with me.

He was trying to get me to accept the mate bond, but I down right refused to accept it so far. It's only been one day since he has been here, but he is staying in a tent outside my house until I allow him inside my life.

Annabelle has come to visit me more then I can count. I really think she just wants to be able to see Asher. After all, he did have dark brown hair, and greyish-blue eyes that were to die for. Hell, I don't even know how I've been able to resist him this far.

A scream pulled me out of my thoughts; I was outside my house in a moment to see Asher chasing after Annabelle. I sighed leaning against the porch railing, watching them play around.

You should go to him. My traitorous body screamed. I was tingly all over, wanting to be closer to my mate.

Shut up body. I thought.

"Annabelle! You are super fast!" Asher said dragging out the word super. This of course, made Annabelle and I laugh. Which then caused them both to stop running and to look at me.

I, of course, with how stupid I was- waved like an idiot. Then they both looked at each other and nodded. I blinked curious at why they were nodding at each other... Until they both started to run towards me.

I jumped over the railing and took off running (not as fast as I could mind you). Annabelle caught up to me and dove for my legs; I fell and started screaming as she started to tickle me.

At least we were having fun right?

That was until Asher was running towards us... He jumped over us and shifted, tearing his clothes in the process and growling.

This caused me to roll over and keep Annabelle under me. If I had to, I would shift and stay where I was daring who ever was out there to attack. I would protect this girl with my life if I had to.

Three wolves came out of the trees, rouges. I could tell by all the scaring on their muzzles. It was how to tell if you were with a rouge or not, they were forced to shift and receive scars on their muzzle so everyone would know their shame.

The one in front of the other two shifted, I covered Annabelle's eyes and stared at him growling in my human form. Asher kept an eye on the other two. "What are you doing in Lumen land?" I asked with a growl.

"We are just traveling, we promise that we wont hurt you or your pup. We have come to inform you that we are here," he said bowing his head a little to me. It was to show me that he knew I was an Alpha in this pack.

I nodded slowly and looked at the other two before saying, "Tell them to shift and get some clothes on. I will call the true Alpha of this pack here," I said and quickly mind linked Alpha Lupine that they were here.

Soon enough, he arrived while they were all changing into clothes and Asher sat by Annabelle and me. I still had Annabelle under me to make sure no harm would come to her.

Standing up I pulled Annabelle with me and quickly headed towards my house. She would not be put in harms way. Once I knew she was secure and safe in my room. I headed back outside to see what exactly the rouges wanted.

Asher had shifted back to human and dressed by the time I got back out there.

"Alpha Lupine, what is it they want in our territory?" I asked.

"They just wish to stay for a few days. They are up in a hotel in town, when they leave it will be reported to us by the town's folk. You know how they are about strangers," he said waving it off.

I nodded, I would respect his wishes of them staying here. But I knew better than to trust rouges.

Asher walked up to me and wrapped his arms around me; I would let him do this for today. After all, we were mates right? But he'd have to learn I am not one to be pushed around by their mate. I will stand up and shout my opinion from the rooftops if I had to do it to be heard.

I leaned into him and whispered, "Just for today."

He grunted and looked at the rouge leader. I could tell that he was checking me out, hell; I was in booty shorts that were pink, and a red tank top. Asher let out a growl at the rouges leader. Who held up his hands in surrender, clearly recognizing that my mate claimed me as his.

"Astra, come along. We must get Annabelle back to Liliana," Asher said. His voice a bit deeper then it needed to be. It bothered me for only a moment before I nodded and started towards my house.

Once we were far enough away from any ears he said, "Why don't you accept me as a mate yet? You will eventually."

Sighing I said, "Asher, I am not a she-wolf you can just push around. I am a proud and opinionated she-wolf, woman, how ever your want to put it. I may be your mate and future Luna of your pack. But I will care about the pack. I will not let you just push me to the side like most Alpha's do to their Luna's."

"My little minou, I wouldn't expect to push you to the side... You are my perfect half. If you want the title of Alpha and Luna... You have it. Of course, my pack will not like that you have the title of Alpha like I do at first, but that will change," he said and kissed my head.

For the rest of the walk to my house, we were quiet. Of course, it didn't take too long to reach my house; the rogues had shown up in my front yard. Walking inside I shouted, "Annabelle! Time to go!"

Hearing her unlocking my door and running down the stairs, I prepared my self to be hit with a hug. When she did hug me, it almost sent me back wards. She was a tough girl, but still a child.

Walking back to Liliana and Markus' house was fun. I would get to tell them how I protected their daughter. Hell, I haven't seen much of them both since they mated. I missed my friends... My rag tag group.

Mind linking Mason and Lysanna to come to Liliana and Markus' house right now so we could all be together like old times. Opening the door I shouted, "Get down here you two! You've got company!"

Hearing them scramble for clothing was weird, but I'd have to live with it. I spotted Liliana first and hugged her. "You, Mason, Lysanna, Markus, and I are going to hang out today. They are already on their way."

Liliana's face lit up and she nodded, "Let's do it! I miss the group, maybe we should put Annabelle with the Luna Elizabeth, and then we can drink and laugh about how stupid you are for not accepting your mate yet."

I huffed, I was being pushed to accept Asher as my mate, but I couldn't... Not yet. It didn't feel like the right time. "I'm going to accept him... Just not yet," I muttered.

"Well, my little minou, accept me then," Asher said as he walked into Liliana's house with Mason, and Lysanna. That smug smirk on his face...
