As I walked the lonely road, in the middle of the night
Through the dark woods, something caught the eye.
The sight was hazy, I gathered all my might
Advancing forward, I heard a sudden cry.
A light in the distance, made me wonder
What made this night so eerie?
Dreadful silence, crawling under
A situation extremely scary.
As a light breeze blew,
A fear ran down my spine
Anxiety grew, little I had clue
Things seemed far from fine.
Numbed by fear, drenched in sweat
I could'nt believe my eyes
It instilled enormous threat
Was it real or filled with lies?
A devilish figure, far from human
With it's gaze fixed firmly on me
My heart skipped a beat, still not certain
If it was what I thought it to be.
My heart pounded,I stepped aback
Battling the woods filled with rage.
Courage,somehow, I seemed to lack
Tension was hard to gauge.
A distinct sound,then called my name
I realised, this was a dream
Oft the thoughts played a game
The SIGHT finally turned serene.
