Prologue

I stared ahead of me, my hatred showing clear in my eyes as I stared at him.

I ignored everything around me, the fight, the other wolves and my pack.

I ignored all the blood being spilt, the screams of pin and terror.

Everything around me faded as his gaze locked me in place. I couldn't move. I couldn't help but show him how much I despised him. Hated him and how utterly repulsed I was by him.

All the memories we had and shared together disappeared with the love I once had for him. He had turned into a monster and for once in my life, I could actually see the real him.

And I hated it. It disgusted me knowing what he had done. What I once defended him about.

''Stay right there and surrender.'' My voice came out cold and emotionless but inside, really deep down, it hurt me to speak to him like that. Even my wolf whimpered in pain. But I knew it was the only way. The only way for me to end this.

''You know I can't do that. If anything you should surrender to me.'' His deep voice sent shivers down my spine. Pleasure chills as I listened to the husky sound.

No! My mental voice shouted.

You have to stay strong. It's not just for you but the innocent people who have suffered enough.

The voice was right. I hardened my glare even more and took a step forward, causing him now to take a step back. I saw the cautiousness in his eyes, his doubt.

He didn't think I could do it but he also didn't like the way this was going.

''Whether you like it or not, this ends tonight. No more will people get hurt because of you. You had a chance to change and you didn't. Now you must face the consequences. You only have yourself to blame.''

I took another step forward and pulled out my favourite dagger. A pure silver blade with a gold encrusted handle. The dagger I once received from him once upon a time. His gaze flicked to the blade, them back to me. His eyes held questions and disbelief.

He honestly thought I wouldn't do it?

You know, for my mate, you would think he knew me better than everyone else but obviously not.

No wonder I was about to do this.

I was about to kill him...
