Epilogue

“Sophie! Out here please!” I yelled out to her.

She came running out to the family room minutes later.

“Yeah mommy?” she looked up at me with her cute eyes.

“You left a mess again,” I told her.

“I’m sorry mommy,” she said.

I bent down and kissed her head, “It’s okay. Just promise me you’ll pick it up.”

“I promise,” she nodded.

“Good,” I said, “Pick your toys up now and then I’ll help you get ready so you can come see me perform.”

Her eyes brightened up, “I can go?!”

“Yes,” I giggled, “You can go.”

“What about daddy?” she asked.

Taylor walked into the room, “I’m coming too. I never miss one of mommy’s performances.”

She ran over to him and he picked her up. She quickly wrapped her arms around his neck and hugged him. He set her down quickly.

“But listen to mommy,” he said, “The toys need to be picked up first.”

“Okay,” she sighed and walked over to her toys.

I laughed at her expression and Taylor walked over to me and wrapped his arms around me. I automatically wrapped mine around his neck and he kissed me.

I pulled away a few seconds later, “How was filming?”

“Good,” he nodded, “I missed you.”

“I missed you too,” I smiled.

“Did you see the flowers?” he asked.

I nodded, “They were beautiful.”

“They reminded me of you.”

“Well thank you.”

“You’re welcome.”

I kissed him again quickly, “You’re the best, my handsome husband.”

“And you are going to rock the stage today my beautiful wife,” he said. “What songs are you singing?”

“Ferris Wheel, Rebel, Rebel Lives On, and Changing Heart,” I told him, “Those are the most popular songs and the perfect songs to sing to advertise The Lily Rosebuds’ new greatest hits album.”

He pulled me closer and whispered: “I’m so proud of you.”

I smiled and hugged him. I was too happy and speechless for words.

“I’m done!” Sophie exclaimed.

Taylor and I pulled away and looked over at Sophie’s corner. Sure enough, she had all her toys put away in her toy box.

“Thank you sweetie,” I told her. “Are you ready to get dressed now?”

She nodded and jumped up and down, “Can I wear the pretty dress?”
