Epilogue

Jaime woke up early the next morning as he usually did for his morning run. He knew the black haired beauty, that had been haunting his dreams since she moved into the house across the street from his, would be sitting on her porch with her morning cup of coffee. As much as he had tried to fight the attraction, he always hoped she would be out there every morning.

Last night he should have just asked her to dance when he had the chance but he couldn’t get his legs to make their way over to her so he just held up the bar. The purple sundress she had worn last night made her look like she belonged in a flower garden. She was absolutely beautiful but he could see the innocence in her eyes and that scared the shit out of him. He had no idea how to be the gentle man she would need.

Stepping outside his house with nothing on but a pair on black gym shorts and his tennis shoes, he caught sight of the pixie as she sat on her porch enjoying a cup of coffee. As if she felt his gaze, she looked over to where he was standing. Piercing blue eyes stared back him. He almost forgot why he was outside until the felt something starting to grow inside his shorts. Jesus Christ, he really didn’t need this right now. Why did she have to move into that house? So she could torture the shit out of you, he said answering his own question.

Jaime took off down the block in a jog. Maybe he should just find someone willing and get it out of his system. Yeah, that’s what he would do. Tonight he would call a “friend” of his and just get it out of his system…

Emily sat on her porch as she did every morning enjoying her coffee and the sight of one shirtless neighbor caught her attention as he did every morning. The sight of him had her mouth watering and her body stirring as it usually did at the sight of him. Last night hadn’t been any different. The tux he had worn to his sister’s second wedding made him all the more desirable. Emily wasn’t able to keep her eyes off him until he left.

Jaime came back around the block moments later. As soon as he rounded the block, his eyes found hers. Not paying any attention to what she was doing, Emily tried to take a sip of the steaming, hot cup of coffee but completely missed her mouth causing the hot liquid to pore right down the front of her shirt. The coffee burned her skin as it seeped through the thin cloth. She cursed at the pain and her own carelessness.

“Emily, are you okay?”

Emily looked up to see Jaime jogging over to her. Great, he had seen the whole thing.

“Uh, not really, that kind of hurt.”

Emily tried to pull the soaked t-shirt away from her chest.

“Do you have anything for a burn?” Jaime asked as he stepped up on the porch.

Emily shook her head.

“Come with me.”

Jaime grabbed her arm and drug her across the yard to his house.

“You don’t have to hold my arm so tight.” Emily said as she struggled to keep up with him.

Jaime loosened his grip only a fraction. Something was bothering him, she thought.

Without another word, Jaime escorted her into his small brick home. Looking around, she could see that everything was amazingly tidy; almost too tidy. The man was a neat freak, she thought.

“Excuse the mess.” Jaime said as he disappeared into the back of the house.

What mess? The house was squeaky clean just like hers. A moment later, Jaime returned with a shirt and some ointment in hand.

“Let’s see how bad it is.”

Emily shot him a worried look.

“Emily, I’m fully away of what is under your shirt. Now, take it off.”

Going against her better judgment, she discarded the soaked shirt. This was not the way she had wanted to start her morning and she definitely didn’t want to stand here in front of a sweaty, shirtless man as he surveyed her burnt chest. That God she thought to put on the new bra she just bought a few days ago…

Jaime stood there in awe of the woman before him. Pale flesh and a simple pale blue bra stood before him as he tried his best to survey her burn. The thought of laying her down on his living room floor and having his way with her made its way to the forefront of his mind. He was supposed to be jogging but this was so much better than some stupid morning run.

Swallowing back a knot in his throat, he started to run some of the ointment on her chest. Her skin felt like silk under his fingertips and before he could stop himself, his fingers made their way down to the valley between her breasts. And was a glorious sight they were; not too small and not too big. They were the perfect size.

Jaime took a step closer to the beauty standing before him. He wanted to kiss her badly and would have if it wasn’t for the scared look in those blue eyes as he lifted his gaze to hers. That scared, innocent look was like throwing cold ice water on him. Jaime cleared his throat before he spoke.

“That should help. Here’s you a clean shirt.”

Emily threw his shirt on, mumbled a thank you and rushed out of the house. Jaime stood there trying to get his emotions under control but it was damn hard. He wanted nothing more than to follow her but he couldn’t he would settle himself with a cold shower and all the booze he could find in his kitchen…
