As the opening notes of my absolute FAVORITE song began to stream from the radio, I cranked up the volume and rolled down the top of my blue convertible car. I was driving down the road in California, my amazing home. The Golden Coast, The Gold State, all that jazz. My best friend, Brenn sat beside me and rolled her eyes and smiled as I began to sing along.

I was headed towards the San Diego Science Convention, where I would enter my project extending Pavlov's research with animal behavior. I had already won my school and county fairs and would hopefully win the state and go to Nationals.
Oh yeah! I forgot to mention that I am a TOTAL and UTTER GEEK!!! Nerds RULE! I could not wait for this exciting opportunity to meet fellow geeks and then CRUSH them in the competition. This was gonna be great!
