why does no one ever talk about New England wetlands. like. I get it deciduous forests are cool but all the leaf litter on the ground? that shit's like permanently waterlogged. especially in the fall. when the leaves are the prettiest.
idk this might not be a thing up in New Hampshire or wherever but in Connecticut forests come with complimentary, non-optional wetlands.
also skunk cabbage. it supposedly smells like skunk, but I can't smell so idk. very bright, noticeable green, especially in mid-early spring when it really goes crazy and nothing else is really green yet. if you get to the little sprouts early enough you can cook them and eat them, but when they get older they form little crystals or something that aren't edible. feel free to fact check me on that because it comes from some Youtube video I watched like five years ago.
*ahem*
anyway.
wetland.
