Originally from Canada, he eventually made his way to St. Augustine, Florida, a move catalyzed by a transformative car accident that broadened his perspective, ultimately leading him to relocate to the United Kingdom.

His entrepreneurial journey spans various sectors, including real estate, home construction, golf course development, the oil and gas industry, cable television, plastics manufacturing, utilities, and waste management. He has played a critical role in advising, founding, and managing multiple enterprises in these varied domains, demonstrating his prowess in problem-solving, capital mobilization, and strategic formulation.

In his wide-ranging business endeavors, he notably served as a foundational advisor and stakeholder in Allied Waste Industries, a prominent figure in the waste management sector, which subsequently merged with and adopted the name of Republic Services. His career initiation in real estate development saw him overseeing comprehensive mixed-use property developments in Texas, California, and Arizona, managing aspects from acquisition to design, planning, and financial implementation.
