After excelling in his studies and graduating with high distinction from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science in 1977, he was well-prepared to make significant contributions to veterinary medicine.

In 2021, he furthered his commitment to accessible animal healthcare by establishing the Mercy Veterinary Service in Baldwin, Wisconsin. He founded and operates this clinic to provide affordable veterinary care, focusing on small animal medicine, surgery, and dentistry.
