three months ago if you asked charlotte evans what she thought of love, she would've told you that it was something only the lucky found. not the family or friendship type of love, which she has experienced, but the type of love when just seeing them gives you a warm and fuzzy feeling. they type when you know right from the start that they would be important to you; a connection, a soulmate. little did she know it would take one boy, a man, to change her outlook on everything.
it was almost christmas and charlotte and louis had become closer than ever. it seemed that the two would spend every chance they got texting or facetiming. it worried her, the last time she let someone get close he kept her hidden and cheated in the end. losing someone as important to her as louis wasn't worth becoming something more than friends. she knew eventually he would be embarrassed by her and get bored and leave. so she made the decision that she would give him some space. just a few days, maybe even a week.
the enews post made her realize that he could be doing so much better. that he should be doing so much better than her. louis deserved a girl who could go out and enjoy big crowds without panicking. someone who not only his friends but fans liked too. his family was a whole different matter. if one thing had stuck with her from her previous "relationship" with asher was that parents never liked her. constantly he told her that she could never meet his parents or siblings because she just wasn't the type of person they would like. she knew that louis' family couldn't be any different.
little did she know, that half way across the earth the british boy sat in his room with a big dopey grin on his face while thinking of her.
louis had no doubt in his feelings for charlotte. he knew from the moment he saw her at the airport that he wanted her to be his. nothing was going to stop that. sure the enews post had made a bump in the road, but that didn't discourage him one bit. if anything, it made him realize that he needed to show her just how much she meant to him so that there would never be any second-guessing in his feelings for her. louis needed her to know that there isn't and wouldn't be any girl other than her.
