I had to room with Dabi for the night. He surprisingly didn't mind, but he felt bad to leave me to freeze to death in the other room.
The next day I went shopping in a mall out of the city so no one would be likely to recognize me, but I still wore a mask for precaution. Kurogiri let me have some cash to buy cheap necessities which I didn't mind. I asked to go to my house to get some small things from my room I'm sure no one would notice go 'missing'.
He denied the request until it was safe enough to.
I had left my phone in my room and I really wanted to go get it and at least message Shoto but it would be extremely risky. An idea popped into my head, so I rushed to the bar, skidding to a stop in front of the misty barkeeper. "Do you guys have those stickers you put on mail?!"
"You mean stamps?"
"Those things! Yes!" I looked like a madman. More than usual that is.
"We have a few spare ones." He reached under the table and handed over a small paper with tiny stickers on it. "Here you go. Why do you need them?"
"I want to send a letter out. Don't worry, I know what I'm doing. Do you also have paper and an envelope?" I asked.
He hesitantly took out a clear plastic bag that had papers and envelopes in it, handing it over to me. "I assume a pen too?" I nodded at his request and took them, running to my room and closing the door.
I quickly unstuck one to the paper and placed it on one of the envelopes. I grabbed a string-bag, stuffing it with a pen, paper, and the stamped envelope before making my way back to Kurogiri.
He sighed and rubbed where his temples should be. "I assume you want to deliver your letter?"
"Yes please. Sorry to be a bother."
"It's fine kid. Don't apologize." He slung a towel over his shoulder. "I should start charging cash for every portal. I might as well be a taxi driver or something."
I cracked a smile and chuckled. "How much do I pay, kind sir?" I asked teasingly.
He simply chuckled at my childish antics. "Hundred Yen, maybe? I'll be rich by the end of the week even with the small amount I'm charging here."
"I bet."
"So where to?"
"Any post office works. Just give me three minutes and open it again."
