Nishikita woke up to somebody opening the door to his room. As he looked over to see who it was, he was delighted to see Akari-San at the door, something hidden behind her back. He saw a worried look on her face, so he smiled at her. He was relieved to see her smile and start to walk over to him.

'Hey, Nishikata, are y-you ok?' she asked him.

'Yeah, I'm fine thanks' he replied sincerely.

They shared an awkward silence as they looked at each other until finally, Nishikata asked her what she had behind her back. She blushed and pulled out a bouquet of flowers, surprising Nishikata massively. He realized that he was just staring at her when she suddenly blushed and looked away from him.

'I-is that for me?'. He mentally punched himself, of course, it was for him, why wouldn't it be?

'Y-yeah', she replied, still blushing and looking away.

She quickly looked over and put the flowers down on the table next to his bed and started to walk back to the door. However, before she could make it to the door he called out to her.

'Akari-San, who was I saving when I got hit by the car?' he asked her quickly.

'W-wait, you don't remember?' she replied.

'N-no, the last thing I remember is getting out of bed.'

'O-oh ok, well you were trying to save...' she suddenly trailed off, staring down at the ground with an angry look on her face.

'Takagi-San'

Nishikata couldn't quite believe what he had just heard. All it seemed to do to him was increase his confusion. What had he been doing with Takagi-San? He looked over to Akari-San and saw the angry look on her face. Had Takagi-San done something to her?

It was at that moment that Nishikata remembered the first thing that had happened before he had been injured. He remembered walking to school with Akari-San, and in his memory, nothing seemed out of the ordinary. However, he remembered seeing a worried look on Akari-San's face but thinking nothing of it. He suddenly felt a pang of guilt wrack his entire body because he had ignored Akari-San's worry, but this only strengthened his resolve to find out what had happened on the day he had been hit by the car.

They chatted for a few more minutes before Akari-San said her goodbye and left Nishikata with only his own thoughts. His mind was racing with different thoughts, and he decided that he would create a plan in order to most efficiently figure out what had happened and why he had been with Takagi-San when he had saved her from getting hit by a car.

At that moment, he swore to himself that he would not stop investigating until he had figured out what had happened and in addition, he would figure out what was going on between Takagi-San and Akari-San to try and help the both of them, as he still considered them his friends.
