(Chloe's POV)

I sat watching tv in my room when I felt a presence in the doorway. I turned and my heart stopped.

"Cooper?!" I turned off the show and ran and gave him a hug.

"What...what are you...what are you doing here?!" I asked brushing a piece of hair out of my face.

"I may or may not have stowed away on the jet my dad took here." He said rubbing the back of his neck.

He did what?!

"Cooper Barton, you did what?!" I scolded putting my hands on my hips.

"Don't you use that tone with me young lady." Copper pointed his finger at me.

We starred intensely at each other for a few seconds and then bursted our laughing.

I gave him another hug and then suggested that we get something to eat and he agreed so we did.

————————

Me and Cooper were sitting at the bar in the kitchen laughing our heads off when a voice rang through the room. "Cooper Barton! You are still grounded young man!" I cringed hearing Clint.

Uh oh.

Copper turned in his seat and smiled sheepishly. "I just wanted to come see your work. And..." He mumbled the last part but I swear I heard him say "And see Chloe."

"You already told me that, but it doesn't make you any less grounded. Hi Chloe." He said hugging me.

"Hi. Um...if it's okay with you, I could...you know...watch him. Make sure he stays grounded." I said and I could see Cooper nod his head.

I could see the internal struggle he was having. "Why are you here anyway? I thought you retired." I asked suddenly wondering why he was actually here.

"He's here because he came to see us." Mom said as she walked in.

"I'm also here to get some work stuff." Clint whispered.

Of course. Note my sarcasm.

"Aren't you retired?" Me and Cooper asked at the same time.

"I for one, think that Cooper staying with Chloe is a great idea. Let her show him around and then when you two go home, he can be grounded." Mom said taking our side.

Yes!

"I promise, I'll keep him out of trouble. I'll walk him, and feed him, and make sure he doesn't go in the pool. Besides, I could use some help in the gym." I smiled and everyone else laughed and smiled at me.

"Fine. Fine. Just...don't get into too much trouble. 'K? Clint said.

"Us? Trouble? Never!" I laughed sarcastically as I grabbed Cooper's hand and ran out of the room dragging him behind me down the hall.

                      ————————

"So. How's normal life?" I asked as I sat  with my legs in the pool.

"Eh. It's fine. Nothing compared to your life. I mean, you're a super hero! Nothing I do could compare to that!" Cooper exclaimed as sat next to me.

"You're kidding me, right? I would kill for a normal life. I would, and I could, by the way." I told him pointing my finger at him.

What?

"Are you kidding me? Why would you want to be normal when you have all this stuff going for you?" Cooper asked in disbelief as he motioned his arms around us.

"I'm cursed, Cooper! Cursed! Have been since birth! I mean, my mom is the freaking Black Widow! I have superhero DNA! Superheroing in my blood! I didn't even have a chance did I?" I exclaimed exasperatedly throwing my hand in the air.

"Hey, hey! You are not cursed! Alright? You are not cursed! You are going to be just fine! Okay?" Cooper grabbed my arms and made me look at him.

Yes, I am.

"And how would you know?" I asked him in disbelief.

"I think that you're forgetting that my dad is Hawkeye? I know, okay?" He shrugged.

"Why do you care? I'm a freak. The only reason we're friends is cause our parents are friends." I said getting up frustrated.

Cooper followed my actions and got up. "I care because you're family. I care because...because..."

"Because what?" I asked crossing my arms over my chest.

Cooper looked at me with a weird expression.

What's wrong with him?

"What?" I stared at him.

"Cooper, what's wrong with y-" I was cut off by Cooper kissing me.

It was short and sweet, but still.

He kissed me.

He kissed me?

He kissed me!

Did I like the fact that he kissed me? I wasn't sure.

He was cute and sweet and kind. He was also Clint's son. Which kinda make it weird because Clint see's me as a daughter I guess.

I'm not sure.

I'm not sure how I feel.

I stared at Cooper for a minute. He took a step back from me. He had one of his hands on my waist.
"Hi." I smiled.

"Hi." Cooper looked like someone gave him a million dollars.

"I am sorry to intrude, but, your mother and father respectively are looking for the two of you." I took a step back from Cooper as Vision walked through the wall.

"Yeah. Thanks Vis." I said awkwardly as I rubbed my arm.

I glanced at Cooper and saw that his face was slightly red.

I walked toward Vision and asked quietly, "How much did you see and or hear?"

"What you do in private, Miss Chloe, is your business. Not mine." He replied and I felt my cheeks heat up a little bit.

Not really an answer, but thanks.

"Right. Cooper. Shall we?" I asked grabbing his arm and pulling him with me.

I just wanted to get out of the room.

Hey everyone! Sorry it's been awhile. I've been pretty busy. It was my brother's birthday and then my birthday.

Anyways, it's I know it's been a while, so sorry about that.
