Hello Hello! This chapter was very fun to write, and I'm very happy with it, honestly. THERE ARE TRIGGERING SCENES DURING SHOUTO'S POV!! A description of the scene is provided in the endnotes and I will put a warning before the graphic scene. Also! We have a new beta! I would like everyone to welcome AmazonianSpadeLeafy to our community! She has been very helpful and is so, so, SO sweet! She helped me come up with the title, which will probably make a little more sense once you read the chapter. Thank you for clicking on! I hope you like the chapter!

"Izuku was discharged today." Yamada said after a long silence. Katsuki had nudged Yamada over and plopped himself down next to Izuku. He sat with his arms crossed and his default glare while Izuku sat looking at his lap with a happy grin stretching from ear to ear.

"Really? Where will he be staying?" Asked Mitsuki pleasantly with a fond smile sent to the boy.

Aizawa rubbed the back of his head and groaned. "That's the million dollar question. The police wanted to put him in foster care, but I don't think that's plausible. In all honesty, Japan's foster care system is a mess and many kids suffer within it, and Izuku is a... special case. His suppressant band," he motioned towards the grey metal bracelet on Izuku's wrist, "Is fantastic for a while, but his body will begin to build a tolerance against it. If he were to go into foster care, he wouldn't be able to get the help he needs to learn to control his quirks. Mic and I have talked about taking him in for a while, but we're heroes. Our schedules aren't exactly clean cut, and Izuku could end up as a target for being in our care. He's already dealt enough with villains."

Mitsuki hummed in thought and nodded. "I understand where you're coming from, but think about it this way. Your quirk is erasure, which would come in handy when dealing with his unstable quirks, and you guys could help him learn how to control them, right? Who better to teach a child how to control his quirks than heroes! Also, we can watch Izuku when you're off heroing! I work at home, so he can come over at any time." She smiled reassuringly at Aizawa. "Instead of making the decision for him, why don't you ask him what he thinks. It took us a while to figure it out, but kids can make some pretty smart decisions on their own." She winked at her son, who tsked and looked away from her. Aizawa looked down at Izuku, who's smile had disappeared and was replaced with a nervous line.

"What do you think, Izuku?" Izuku looked up to where his face might be, anxiety blossoming in his chest. He didn't really know what to say or how to voice his thoughts, and so he spat out everything.

"Well, I guess... I wouldn't mind living with you, actually the opposite, I would love to live with you, but I don't want to be a bother to you both. You have your own lives and I don't think it would be fair for me to interrupt that. If you were to take me in, I would become your responsibility. Do you really want to take care of someone like me? Like you said, I'm a liability. If I were kidnapped by a villain as leverage, you wouldn't be able to efficiently take down and apprehend them. You're good people, and a villain would use that to their advantage. That could end up getting you hurt- I could end up getting you hurt. That wouldn't be fair to you. I'm sorry, but I don't think I deserve to live with you guys. You're good, and I'm not."

He didn't get a reply for a few minutes, and he figured Aizawa and Yamada were thinking it through, until a sharp sting hit his cheek hard. Kacchan slapped him. "You're an idiot, Deku. They want you to live with them. They don't see you as a responsibility, they want you to be safe and they keep you out of danger. They're heroes, there's no way they wouldn't be able take down any villains, even if your dumbass got in the way!" Izuku sniffled at Katsuki's words. "You're not bad, Deku, you're gonna become hero with me to kick villains' ass with me!" Izuku began to sob and threw himself at his friend. Within the hour he had spent with his friend, he had already begun to feel better about his situation. Thank god for Kacchan.
