(Chloe's POV)

I froze as Mom and I ran. She looked back at me and frowned. "What?"

Something was wrong. I could feel it. There was something off. It was sitting in the air. Something was moving and I could feel it. "Chloe?"

"Something's wrong," I mumbled.

"What?" Mom held my face in her hands. "What's wrong?"

"I-I didn't know, but something off. Something's happening. I can feel it." I told her, my entire body feeling off. "Something bad is going to happen."

"Everyone, on my position. We have incoming," Steve said and I let out a shaky breath.

Mom and I ran another few feet and met Sam. I stood swaying gently.

Nothing good was about to happen.

There was a low rumbling sound and then I felt it. On the back of my neck, down my spine, the hair in my arm stood up. I turned and saw a blue portal-looking thing appear. My body was shaking and I told it off mentally. I felt the shadows pull towards me, in almost a protective manner.

A giant, purple man in blue and gold clothes walked out of the portal. He had a gold glove on his left hand, and I could see gems sitting in it. A green, purple, red, blue, and orange gem all sat in the glove.

The infinity stones.

There was a space left in the glove. A space I assumed was supposed to be taken up by the stone in Vision's head. The stone giving him life.

There was a moment of silence as we all watched the other side. With bated breath, I waited. "Cap, that's him," Bruce spoke from inside the Iron Man suit he was wearing.

I let out a very shaky breath trying to calm my heart.

"Eyes up. Stay sharp." Steve said and started moving forward. The giant purple alien did the same.

Bruce was first. He ran at him, and the alien closed his fist and he went flying through him, and toward a rock wall. Steve was next, he just went flying towards the ground. T'Challa jumped and was caught by the neck, before being punched into the ground. Sam went flying and shooting at the alien, but his wings stopped and he fell to the ground.

I turned and saw Wanda shooting her magic at Vision. We had to give her time. I'd give her as much time as I could. The rest of us went at the alien with our best. I was one of the last.

I tried not to focus on Mom, or Bucky, or Steve, or Sam, or any of the others. I held up my hand, and the alien stopped moving. I pushed him back as far as I could, his very digging into the ground. I was the last person between him, and Wanda, and Vision. I had to give her time.

I saw his fist go to close, and I shot my other hand out toward it, shadows sticking to his palm, forcing it open. I felt a pinprick in the back of my head.

No! Not now!

I saw it all happen in slow motion. His fist closed, and I went flying into the air, my back slamming into a tree trunk. My vision went black and I couldn't breathe.

I laid on the ground for a while, trying to get air into my lungs and the black on the edges of my vision to clear. There was a blast at the same moment I picked my head up, slamming it into the solid ground. The black took over my eyesight completely.

I opened my eyes to a yell. The black added from my line of sight, and I pushed myself up on limp arms. I saw Thor standing with an expression of shock and fear on his face.

"What did you do?! What did you do?!" The purple alien disappeared in the same blue portal.

I looked around and stood up. "Where'd he go? Thor? Where'd he go?" Steve asked. I felt a rush of fear run through me.

Something is happening.

"Steve?" I looked to see Bucky falling to the ground, but he never hit it. He disappeared into dust.

"Chloe?" Mom grabbed my face looking me over before hugging me. "Are you okay? Tell me you're okay?!"

"Bucky," I pointed vaguely at where he had stood. Steve was kneeling there now. I looked at Mom. "Mom? Mom, what's happening?"

She looked at me, fear clear in her eyes. "It's okay. It's okay. You're okay." She said, her hands moving to my arms, gripping them.

"Mom?" I looked at my hands. There were starting to dissolve into dust, just like Bucky had. "Mommy?" I gasped, "Mom?!"

"You're okay. You're going to be okay, I promise you." She looked at me, cupping my face in her hands. "You're okay!"

I could hear people yelling in the distance. It sounded like Rhodey. Maybe Okoye.

I don't know.

I don't want to die! I don't want to go! Mom!" I sobbed. "Mommy! Please I don't want to die! What's happening?!"

Mom looked around frantic. "I-I don't know baby. But it's okay. I promise you, you're gonna be okay. I've got you." She pulled me to her chest and hugged me. I tried to hit her back but my arms were slowly disappearing.

"Mommy!" I sobbed as she looked at me.

"Hey, it's okay! I got you!" She kissed my head and I sobbed more. "Look at me! I'm gonna fix this, I promise! Look at me, I promise."

"Mom, what's happening? Please, I don't want to go!" I could feel my body disappear.

What's happening to me?!

"Hey, look at me! I love you! Okay?! I love you so much! I will fix this and I will me right here when we get you back I promise! I love you, Chole!" I nodded. I could see tears in her eyes.

She was trying not to cry.

"I'm right here! I love-"
