Mogami eyed the report reading every part of it in an attempt to not miss anything, sumire was also given a copy

" The painting was stolen in the middle of night, the culprit cut off the main power and emergency power for the museum , Also one of the restoration clerks working on the paintings was found dead near the river. Killed .."

Mogami : takagawa what do you think of the case?

Sumire : Your opinion matters more in this case,

Mogami : one of the main purposes of your role as my assistant is to a give a second opinion

Sumire : well.. For one I think that the restoration clerk was killed because he interfered with the robbery somehow.. That's all I get from this…

Mogami : I see…

One of the detectives thanked Mogami for accepting the case and walked him through the crime scene

Detective : Signore, we are honoured to work with you.

Mogami : ( a bit uncomfortable, since he had help governor tanaka he had gotten quite a reputation) No please it's my pleasure ( he turned to Sumire and spoke in Japanese)

Sumire : I really feel the awkwardness emanating from you..

Mogami : I'm so glad I brought you with, I atleast have someone who treats me like a normal person..

Sumire : ( Mogami you're a lot more than normal)

Mogami : can I have a layout of the museum?

Detective : Sicuro ( Italian for "Sure") ( he handed him a map of the museum)

Mogami : the " Two Venetian Ladies" was hung in a room without any windows and only one way in and out, the room is on the far left of the complex

Sumire : it's very far from the entrance yeah… So If there was no other way, the culprit ran straight through the museum, wouldn't that be risky?

Mogami : It would be… Plus there's also the issue of auxiliary power…

Sumire : What?

Mogami : paintings, old manuscripts can get easily oxidised by the air that's why the air in museums is always controlled, when both emergency and main power are cut only the auxiliary power remains, it suck out most of the oxygen in the building to prevent damage to the paintings,

Sumire : that means they had to turn off the power, unscrew the painting and run through the museum to get out all within a small frame of time?!

Mogami : 7 minutes to be exact, unless you had incredible athletic ability, it's impossible.. Well just the unscrewing should take around 15 minutes

Sumire : B-But then how?

Mogami : that's what we're here to find out, now what do you think how would a person do such a feat

Sumire : you just said it's impossible

Mogami : ( he sighed and wrote something on his notepad) look is this possible?

XI + I = X

Sumire : 11 + 1 = 10? Yep that's incorrect, impossible.

Mogami : ( he pulled on her arm and brought her to his side)

Sumire : ( she blushed and looked at the notepad which was now upside down)

X = I + IX

Mogami : 10 = 1 + 9
