Hello fellow readers and writers

I have written about my painful past and published those stories here. The short story Finger is my only fiction piece.

Why writingmytruth? This was the first name that came into mind because I kept silent for so many years and I needed to get the truth out there. The only way I have been able to do that is via writing. Wattpad has enabled me to do that. I have met and continue to meet wonderful readers - some of whom can relate to the pain and others who have given me strength as well with their warm words of encouragement and support. One day I hope to break the walls of anonymity. I'm getting closer but it is still terribly hard. I am not associated with any other writingmytruth on the web.

I read all comments, see all votes, follows etc. and a BIG THANK YOU in advance. I try and reply to everyone that reads, comments, votes and follows but sometimes for some reason or other, I don't or can't reply. (technical issues - for example) I apologise for this.

I DON'T do reading requests or tagging simply because of lack of time. I prefer to read what interests me when I can and take my time with it. I DON'T follow just to get a follow back. I DON'T vote just to get a vote back on my work. I think all this makes it a fairer and more honest platform for all.

Most of the images come from Pixabay. Beautiful stuff from talented artists and photographers released under Creative Commons. PLEASE NOTE: Images are not those of any characters or people in the stories.

Three authors that have inspired me: Anne Lamott, Jeanette Winterson and the legendary Oriana Fallaci.

Happy reading and writing!
