OMG, I didn’t think it’d be possible. But I just read the qualifications three times. COLOR qualifies for another run at the Wattys!!!

Oceane_Breeze

@thomaseng I truly believe Color stands a chance, so I hope those revisions go smoothly!

@Oceane_Breeze Thank you! I’m sure there will be stiff competition. I’m just glad to get a second chance and will be making some key revisions.

Hey there,

If you enjoy poetry, I recently released my first poetry book and my first poem, titled "Good Day".

"Good Day" is written from the perspective of a girl as if she wrote the piece herself. That girl is Sarah Stewart, the same character in my novel, Color. This poem is the first in Sarah's "Growing Up" Series. You do not need to read Color to enjoy the poetry.

More will be revealed about Sarah's early life in upcoming poem chapters. Not all good. But all with thoughtful themes. Collectively, these chapters will define Sarah's character, her personality, who she is capable of becoming, and who she will become.

          Hope you enjoy it.

          Thanks,
          Tom

I want to give a BIG shoutout to @Sarah_MacLean. Recently, Sarah finished beta reading Color after four-months of fast and furious reading. Okay, maybe it wasn’t furious, but four months sure went by fast, lol.

Sarah provided a ton of incredible feedback … at a level that I believe rivals any professional copy editor out there. What a surprise and a blessing!

I was truly humbled by Sarah’s positive comments. But believe it or not, I was so grateful for all the constructive criticism - you know, the kind that stings at first, but once it heals, you're a much better writer for it. And isn’t that what it’s all about - becoming better at our craft?

Sarah demonstrated the skill and the courage to NOT tell me what I wanted to hear, but rather she shed a clear light on how to make Color a better story.

There is absolutely NO doubt in mind that without Sarah’s detailed input, Color would have plodded along in the wrong direction, perhaps improving in some areas but not necessarily in all the right areas. Now, at least, I have a solid blueprint for revising Color to get it ready for publication.

Sarah - Thank you, thank you, thank you! For your selfless time and dedication as a beta reader, for your obvious love for storytelling, and for helping a fellow writer to better understand what it means to tell the best story possible. :)

@Sarah_MacLean You’re welcome! And not just some of the comments. I’d say at least 90%, and more likely closer to 99%, will be incredibly helpful. That’s pretty darn impressive!!

I would appreciate if you could nominate Color in the Historical Fiction category or feel free to nominate any of your favorite books and authors. There's plenty of room for everyone.

Currently watching the end credits of Avengers Endgame - a great, great finale to the series! ;)

thomaseng

That’s so cool! I rewatched Avengers 1, Civil War, and Infinity War before watching End Game. This is the first movie series where the sequels did “not” disappoint.

@thomaseng I'm rewatching the whole MCU series. Three weeks after I watched End Game and I still can't get over the ending

@Sarah_MacLean You're so welcome! And It's an honor to be in the vanguard. By Ezo, you're an incredible writer with enough talent to fill all of Alsoom. You have a special gift for bringing your characters to life (and death ;) and pulling us readers into your dynamic story world. Honestly, I'm right there with El and Byrne in all those amazing places you describe in such sense-provoking detail. And those fight sequences are to-die-for, especially for whoever El faces, haha. So keep up the great work! I can't wait to read this and the remaining of the seven novels in this incredible series. :) *Smiles and taps two fingers to temple*
