About the author
In August 1971, I left my home on the west coast of Scotland and travelled to London. It was my intention to write songs, poetry and stories for children, but an unexpected set of circumstances led me off in a completely different direction.
A hundred years later, following an award winning career in the Music industry, I have finally found time to write again.
'Search for the sunlight,' my first novel, is a unique and lightly humorous adventure, aimed at young adults and those of us who are struggling to grow up.
The peculiar, sometimes bizarre, characters and locations in the book, are loosely based on old School acquaintances and the places we used to frequent during my privileged childhood days in Scotland. (should any of you recognise yourselves, and are offended, then I apologise!)
I am presently working on a sequel to 'Search for the Sunlight,' working title, 'Beyond the Underworld' and I have several other unrelated works in various stages of completion, not least 'The Adventures of Blenkinsop's Frog.' This is a tale about a frog with re-loadable exploding boots. But that's a story for another day.
In the meantime, check out 'The Treewoods,' in 'Search for the Sunlight.' and the sequel, 'Beyond the Underworld.'
Their adventures will make you smile!
