Hope that you're all having a cracking time winding up 2016 (or The Year of The Dumpster Fire as it is now officially known) and are looking forwards to eating your entire weight in cheese this holiday season.
I am staring at the finish line on a draft of a new book, the last week of work, and a Christmas with not one but two small daughters running rings around me. JOY. And while none of my fire-laid irons have come to fruition this year, there's always 2017 to try again.
So, in lieu of anything new from me here are three people you should definitely be following closely:
@laura_lam - fellow #TeamMushens author and awesome person Laura Lam has had an amazing year and is rounding it off with chapters from her fantasy-by-gaslight trilogy, beginning with Pantomime ( https://www.wattpad.com/story/91172286-pantomime-micah-grey-1-first-six-chapters-updated )
The King of All Things Cheerful, @Edward_Cox has been consistently knocking it out of the park with his mind-bending, dual-timeline fantasy adventures, The Relic Guild and The Cathedral of Known Things ( https://www.wattpad.com/story/64442535-the-relic-guild-book-1-updated-infrequently )
And new to @Wattpad is @Tom__Toner, whose far-seeing SF offering the Promise of the Child sits your ass in a space trebuchet and hurtles you parabolic into the 147th Century. ( https://www.wattpad.com/story/93223418-the-promise-of-the-child )
Read them! Enjoy them! And most of all, have a kickass Christmas.
I've put up a new short update in the appendices for Kingdom's Fall. March sees us in the Veil mountains, where Carelian refugee Ana finds herself in danger, and meets a familiar face. Hope you enjoy it!
@Edward_Cox Ah, no need to thank me. You deserve the attention.
Afraid I am probably not going to be at anything in 2016 with Sproglet 2 arriving in the summer. Definitely doing Helsinki in 2017 though.
