Welcome, I'm Midnight! 

I'm a Biochemist who can't stop writing. It takes up every waking hour of my life. I write because I can never find the right words to say. For me, writing is a way to to understand myself, the world around me and to share those experiences with others.  

I've been published once with my short story, Selkie Skin, which you can find below. I've been rejected once and I must say it was one of the greatest experiences of my life. It gave me the ability to finally release the fear of failure and move on from it. To learn and grow from failure is a blessing. 

My work is mostly fantasy in all forms and can be described as literary fiction. I am an advent procrastinator but I'm a conqueror of shitty drafts. I read whatever speaks to me especially character driven stories about what it means to be human. 

Right now, I'm working on my first draft after a one year hiatus so please be patient. I'm open to any constructive criticism. I'm a firm believer in community so please feel free to reach out to me!
