Jason Shimp worked for the Colorado State Patrol in Durango, Fort Collins, and Steamboat Springs for the last decade. A corporal with the Colorado State Patrol in Steamboat Springs, he got his promotion in 2016.
Jason is a Field Training Officer and a DRE. He teaches SFSTs, DTAC, and PLLR (PILLAR). He runs PILLAR in several schools in Northwest Colorado.
Jason earned his Bachelor's Degree in Architecture from Drury University in Springfield, Missouri, before joining the force. His 13 years as an architect included 27 building projects ranging from residential to commercial to mixed-use. The National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) certified Jason as a LEED Accredited Professional in 2008.
