I have been an advertising copywriter for a long time,  but fan fiction and short stories got me to up my game and try storytelling. 

I still write short stories but now I also write books. I call them romances with a lot of wit and a fair dollop of angst.

My first book 'Who's Afraid of Mr Wolfe?' was shortlisted for Romantic Comedy of the Year in 2012. My second book 'The First Time I Saw Your Face' is set in Northumberland in the north of England and was published in July 2012. I have two more books due out - one this summer, one the next.

I'm very enthusiastic about the whole fan fiction genre and sites such as wattpad as I believe they can help writers to hone their craft -  not just by posting their own work, but by beta reading or critiquing the work of others.
