"yes. connected to it." lio stated with a quiet chuckle. perhaps he should have just said that to begin with. it was a much simpler explanation. exhaling, he stared into the flame now in the other's hand, concentrating on it for a moment or so before shrugging. "because.. we're different. hard to understand. and.. when the burnish people first became a thing, well, lots of people were hurt. killed, even. not on purpose, of course, but.. they saw it that way." after a few seconds of silence, he smiled and stepped closer again. "i agree. normal people are boring, don't you think?" he stated in a playful manner, then he took the other's hand carefully and, after a moment, the fire was gone and they were left in the dark.
"⠀⠀your understanding is appreciated⠀⠀,⠀⠀"⠀⠀offered the creation as he gave a small tilt of his head as he continued to examine the flame that danced within the palm of his hand⠀⠀.⠀⠀bright yellow eyes were narrowed slightly⠀⠀;⠀⠀poor melanin made his eyes sensitive to light⠀⠀.⠀⠀he was so intrigued by something that had burned him before⠀⠀,⠀⠀he did not care for the history that he and fire shared⠀⠀.
he nodded his head and looked back to lio⠀⠀,⠀⠀"⠀⠀you're⠀⠀,,⠀⠀connected to it⠀⠀?⠀⠀"⠀⠀he summarized for the sake of his understanding⠀⠀,⠀⠀he was curious about everything and anything⠀⠀.⠀⠀"⠀⠀i do not understand how someone could fear such an interesting⠀⠀,⠀⠀diverging branch of humanity⠀⠀,⠀⠀it is far more interesting and unique than a good portion of humanity as it is now⠀⠀.⠀⠀"
"victor frankenstein." the shorter man repeated softly, shaking his head a bit, his lips still frowning. he himself had a bad experience with /experiments/. well, not him specifically. just others of his kind. their own government was doing experiments on them. it sickened him. just as this did. "i believe everything you say about him. and i know it's hardly my place to apologize but.." the blond's shoulders shrugged again. he couldn't help but be sorry. watching the other's reaction to the fire, he smiled. "how? i can't really say /how/, but..." he placed a hand to his chest. "it's like there's a fire burning in my soul. i can feel it. i can hear it. it needs to /burn/ so that's what i do. i burn." that was the best he could explain it. hopefully it didn't make him sound crazy. "people fear me for this reason. just like people fear you for how you look."
