I'm a historical fiction writer with some rather unconventional tastes and hobbies; and I'm very shameless about it. I'm not uncomfortable with recognizing and acknowledging the humanity living inside even the worst people this world has to offer us. I'm not uncomfortable with writing about it either.
And I am going to assume that I don't have to explain here the very basic and very obvious concept that writing from the perspective of bad people doesn't automatically reflect a writer's own principles and beliefs. Because you're smart and you understand that, right?
