I retired from a 30 year career in the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in 2008. Nearly half of that time was spent as a Forensic Crime scene Specialist. I had the privilege of contributing to a number of highly complex and notorious cases during my tenure plus consult on international cases. After my retirement, I continued to teach and consult on forensic issues for several years. Now, done with the harsh reality of those cases, I live quietly in rural western Canada and write fiction.
