Suzy Quirke

Hello! You can call me Zu or Suzy, I'm an aspiring writer that hopes to one day see some of my work out there and garnish a small community of readers. 

I'm a married Christian woman in her mid twenties, and I'd be lying if I said my writing didn't reflect all of this. I have a lot of varied interests, obviously reading and writing, but I've been teaching myself digital art and photo manipulation as well. I now make all my own book covers! I do a lot of volunteer with kids, especially middle school age, and I'm just overall passionate about my walk with Jesus. I want to write more books with Christian protagonists, themes and values in genres outside the norm for Christian publishing because I would have loved more of those kinds of work available to me when I was a teen, and even now!

As far as genres go, I'm very Sci-fi heavy in my interests. I'll skip the military space war though, please and thank you :) I like a lot of realism in my sci-fi, and I'm heavily interested  in colonization, space travel, dystopian stories, even hints of paranormal and adventure... I love exploration & discovery. I love themes involving maternity, I like strong female leads that are well written, not just "badass" gun totting punchers. 

So, if you're looking for quirky writing, you'll find it here. My father has always described my interests as quasi sci-fi, and I think it sums up what I am nicely. A quirky writer of quasi genres, crafting stories of science, survival, exploration  & adventure!
