I noticed that Wattpad closed the cafe/threads etc. Maybe I'm behind on this news because I rarely come on Wattpad anymore but I guess... that's it for Wattpad? I mean, to be honest, the only reason I loved Wattpad was for the community. It's not like their writing tools are actually good (spent too much of my life bending over backwards for their stupid formatting issues. That's why I'm old now) and you can self-publish pretty much anywhere for free. So what now, Wattpad?

Hey y'all, so... bad news. I haven't found anywhere good to put my new stories and Wattpad refuses to provide me a way to upload them onto their site so... I've decided to start a #WattpadSucks campaign. Feel free to join. All I want is an easy way to write with the writing tools I prefer using and get the resulting product onto Wattpad with spending hours/copy pasting and then dealing with the formatting issues that go along with that. I don't have that much free time between my day job and actually creating content. We can upload photos to a stories but we can't upload our stories? What is this bullsh*t?

Since I can't provide any new content for you, I will provide entertaining rants! I am also considering removing my stuff from here so my profile can focus solely on my campaign against the blatant disregard wattpad has for its users.

Trust me, this battle to get an upload document feature has been waged for years now. They are simply not listening to what the users want.

Following the release of Wattpad's 'pay to read' campaign that's currently in beta testing, I would like to assure my followers that my books will always be 100% free (use an Ad-blocker for extra freedom)! I am working on a lot of new stuff, especially sequels. I plan to find a different place to host my stories to make editing and updating less time consuming but I'll leave links here so that you can continue to enjoy my stories without paying a cent. Happy reading!

*hobbles in with cane* *old person voice* You children wanna hear a story about the good ol' days from my childhood?

When itunes was first released (yes, I was there for it) and I got a brand-spanking new version of it on my family's computer, my parents gave me a glorious 20$ gift card to use to fill my Ipod Classic with the wonderful beats of Nickelback, Smash Mouth, and Venessa Carlton, it used to cost 99 cents for a song... the problem was, it took an hour (shit you not) to download a song, so I had to inform my parents that I wished to tie up the phone line for an hour to download my precious.

They did not approve most times, and had calls they needed to make. (This was before we all had cell phones.)

So I bought cd's, burned songs from my friends computers and uploaded them to my ipod.

Why do I tell you this story?

Because this very night, I downloaded all 900 songs from my old computer onto my new computer in ten minutes over f***ing wifi.

I know it seems silly to be excited about something like that, but technology has accelerated so fast. I grew up in the 90's, and compared to memories of my childhood with dial-up, super nintendo, tube-tvs, huge mammoth cell phones and laptops, waiting for an image to load line by line, and vhs tapes, it feels like I'm living in the future.

If you ever think faith-based schools are just as good as regular schools, just remember that when I transitioned from a Catholic middle school to a public high school, I asked my new non-catholic friends where crop circles came from, and they never answered me because they thought I was kidding.

I actually wanted to know if they were created by God or aliens, but no one would take me seriously.

It took me years to realize they're made by people because I was never taught how to rationalize.

I really hate the word 'overachieve'.

I've been called an 'overachiever' many times for a variety of reasons throughout my life, and every time I hear it, it makes me cringe, because someone's taking all my hard work and telling me it was too much and I should have done less, or that the excess I did was a waste of time, as though they have any right to decide where the 'too much' mark lies.

I've never exceeded my own expectations, and that's all that matters to me. I don't give a shit what you or anyone else expects from me.

tl;dr - stop using the word 'overachieve'. There's never an appropriate use for it.
