I write and illustrate experimental feminist fiction (and poetry) and know more about my characters than I do about myself. I lived in Iran for part of my childhood just before the revolution of 1979. Despite having to run away, being surrounded by a completely different culture had great influence on how I view the world and people in it. I now live in the UK with my son, four cats and loads of imaginary characters. After my father’s death I lost direction and had many jobs, from picking mushrooms to painting lights, but writing has always been a necessary part of life. I've had two steampunk stories published and one of these was adopted by a larger publisher, the other by Cirkumfleks Magazine. I've also written a story for Ren Garcia's League of Elder series, called Ghosts of The Empire Hotel. My first love is a series which I've been writing and illustrating, called Unbound Boxes Limping Gods. The mythology began when I was seventeen and whilst seeking publication of the manuscript, I release short stories based on the lives of characters in the books. This series is experimental and has been running for nearly three years in multimedia form. These 'disconnected' stories gradually connect together and I would like to share them with you too. The writer gives life to a story but the reader keeps it alive.
