Hello, I'm Trudy. I've always been a romantic and I love to imagine what it must have been like to live in times past. I took up reading again (historical fiction and American history are my favorites) a few years ago around the time my third child was born. And this was after a long hiatus when I thought I was too busy to read! There's always time for a good book.

Six years ago I discovered that I enjoy writing. After falling in love with the BBC's miniseries "North and South" I devoured fan fiction for the first time in my life. Something about the characters and the love story resonated with me. I began imagining an alternative plot that would bring the star-crossed lovers together sooner.

Eventually, I put my imaginings down on paper and found a mentor to help guide me and look over my work. Thanks, Kleindog, for taking the initiative to offer me assistance! Before long, I was posting my story on a BBC affiliate web forum: C19Proboards.com

I love to discuss North and South! Find me at C19 or at my new website/blog: MoreThanThornton.com
