Archaeologist, wife, mother, full-time grad student, author, follower of Christ: it's a crazy, beautiful life! Although I spend my days examining ancient artifacts at a museum and changing diapers, I always have a story (or two) working in the back of my mind.
Some fun facts about me:
I have a very feisty toddler who prefers to be called 'The Fiercest Dinosaur'
I ADORE Hyun Bin and Tom Hiddleston
...and I spend a lot of time licking dead things.
Sometimes it's human (that is always an accident) but most of the time it's an animal (that, unfortunately, is always intentional).
I specialize in analyzing animal and human bones in my professional career as an archaeologist, and sometimes it's hard to see if that tiny fragment of an artifact is pottery, wood, or bone, and the only way to tell the difference is to stick it to your tongue!
Lots of scientific reasons, but basically it comes down to porosity. Sometimes those end up being human bone... that's always very awkward.
Ask any archaeologist about it: they've probably licked a few dead things in their life, and boy do they have some fun stories.
I am open to reading requests (when I'm not bogged down with school or work), but please note that I will not read anything marked 'mature,' or that contains explicit language, erotic, sexually explicit, overly sexually suggestive, or violent content. This is due to personal reasons and is not a reflection of you as an author or your story's potential. Thank you for understanding!
