Tom D'Arcy McGee

Greetings, traveler - pull up a chair by the fire and make yourself at home. I'm Tom McGee, a writer, dramaturge, actor, director, and podcast person - but more importantly, I love fantasy. I read it, I write it, I game in it, and I run a bunch of tabletop RPGs in it, all of which have me constantly thinking about the tropes, plots, and characters in the genre. I love seeing someone bring a new take to a classic trope, seeing inspiring and engaging world-building, and - of course - being taken away to a new world. I'm constantly looking for new worlds to explore and be inspired by, even as I build my own - so grab a tankard of ale, hang up your sword, and join me for a tale or two...



When not adventuring through fantasy realms, I'm a writer (fantasy, sci-fi, and occasionally romance - most recently 'A Royal Deception' Season One in Paid Stories!), and a script and story consultant. I also run the award-winning Theatre Brouhaha and Shakey-Shake and Friends Puppet Theatre in Toronto. I also run a bunch of narrative podcasts on the Dumb-Dumbs and Dice network (dumbdumbdice.com) including 'Dumb-Dumbs and Dragons (D&D),' 'Blood & Syrup (Vampire the Masquerade),' 'Dumb, Scum, and Villainy (Star Wars),' 'HP Dumbcraft (Call of Cthuhlu),' and 'One Shots (Rotating system), all of which are available wherever fine podcasts are served.
