Hey gang! So The Fiction Awards are back, and considering all the love there is out there for Martin in 'Who Kissed Charlie Fine?' maybe some of you might consider nominating him in the Best Supporting Character category. Maybe? Hmm? I mean, he did eat all that cabbage...lol

Here's the link if you think he's worth it. Thanks in advance if you do❤

Of course I’ll nominate Martin. Though I have not fully enjoyed his antics yet. Did you want best supporting character? Because this links to best Antagonist.

Hi, I just wanted to thank you and others like you who are making our lives a little easier during this quarantine. Your great writing is helping a lot of us not to go quite as insane while we are stuck inside. Thank you so much!

SeventyMurphy

Such a kind thing to say, @Zym0879 ! It's symbiotic isn't it? I'm inspired by other writers and readers to keep creating which keeps me sane so thank you too! We're all in this - and everything else- together.❤

I know what you're talking about. It's got to do with the productivity complex creators face. especially during isolation it's more evident all around, hung up on the idea of not using given free time. It's like a collective air all over the world. People with day jobs or college work now don't have anything so they finally got the time they've been waiting for all this while. So they're set into thinking they are obligated to make use of every second. You're not. Everyone is so hungover rowing the boat with their equally drained colleague, or neighbour or friend that their brain just decides to be quiet when the time presents itself. I'm facing kinda the same slump as well. Internship was draining both emotionally and physically. But I'm set on not worrying about not spending time writing. I'm outlining and noting down any ideas I get. Implementation seems to be the thorn but I'm writing bits and pieces everyday.

From my side it's the same. I'm in a different city now and am stuck here because of the lockdown. My family is spread all over. I have Netflix, I have social media and I have Google docs.

Hello merry lady, long time no speak❤ How's everything there right now? How are you coping with the quarantine? Let me know, let me know❤

SeventyMurphy

@bluebutterflies007 Hey hon! Everything is fine so far. We're safe, we're not getting on each other's nerves, and Netflix is working. What more does anyone need to feel like the richest girl in town? I wonder if you, or a lot of the writers here, feel the same as I do in that even though we've got all this downtime, it's hard to be in a creative headspace. I haven't written a thing since we've been home, have you? I'm feeling like I might start to outline something soon, though. Watch, as soon as I get into a groove this whole thing will be over. Let's hope!
Everything with you and yours okay? Hope so ❤

Hi! I can't believe you posted another story. I lost my password and just regained it again. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this new one Tho I wish I was there during the process. I love your writing❤

SeventyMurphy

Well, hello again, @Ptorette! It only took me two and a half years, (gawd, I'm slow!), but yes, I finally posted something new! It's a little different than the first two, being a mystery with a male protagonist and all, but I hope you'll have fun reading it - and not wish you hadn't found your password, lol :D
Be sure to let me know.

          Grace ❤️❤️❤️

SeventyMurphy

@blankroyai Hello again! What can I say besides thank you very, very much! It's crazy how cyclical everything is. I'm so old fashioned I'm almost new again, lol.

Perhaps my writing style can be best summed up by the words of Chuckles The Clown from The Mary Tyler Moore Show: "A little song, a little dance, a little seltzer down your pants." LOL Romance and humour are my best worn crayons.

Thank you for loving my work enough to let me know so sweetly. I'm geeked-out that you do!

Omg thanks for picking up Seacliff ❤️ it's a diamond in the rough, that one, hope you enjoy it if you get around to it, haha.

Also, just wanted to say - I cannot wait to get some downtime so I can properly sink my teeth into Charlie's quirky adventure. I'm such a slow reader, ugh.

SeventyMurphy

@alcoholandcaffeine Hope you took that first thought and ran with it for the story. Woo-hoo! ;D

@SeventyMurphy oh, yeah, that's how I first heard the story, too! Human husbands trapping their selkie wives on land by hiding their skins. A bit of googling, however, revelead that male selkies show themselves to women in need of comforting - which is kind of the idea I'd formed before I read that particular tidbit, haha. My very first thought, when I initially learned of (female) selkies was: damn, selkie dudes must be *hot*!
