I've been a writer ever since I could pick up a pen. In fact, I even sent my first manuscript, "Freddy the Flame," to publishers when I was ten years old. Sadly, it was rejected, but a lifelong passion to write was born.
I published "Finding Lucas" in 2012, and it has been a dream come true. I have been very lucky to have been featured in Wattpad's Chicklit Launch video with Marian Keyes, Romi Moondi, and Caitlin O'Hanlon and to appear as a writer-in-residence at Kobo Writing Life's booth at BEA 2013. I am also the co-founder of "BookBuzz," an interactive and promotional author event held in New York City and Toronto. As well, I co-edited the anthology, "A Kind of Mad Courage," to which I contributed the short story, "Hide and Seek."
When I'm not writing novels, I run my freelance writing/editing company, Perfect Pen Communications. Basically, I get to write and edit fulltime, which makes me giggle with giddiness every day I go to work. At home. Often in my pajamas.
I've written numerous articles for Now Magazine, The Village Post, Oxford University Press, Abilities Magazine, mommyish.com, and many other publications. And I have a Master of Education in Applied Linguistics that looks really nice on my wall. Okay, in a box in the basement.
