Hi, I'm Rebecca Moesta (pronounced MESS-tuh).

I wanted to be an author since I was twelve, and a lot of my writing focuses on teens. My solo work includes novels in the Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Junior Jedi Knights series, short stories, nonfiction articles, and ghost writing. With my husband Kevin J. Anderson, I wrote the Crystal Doors trilogy, fourteen Young Jedi Knights novels, six movie or game novelizations, lyrics for two Roswell Six rock CDs (ProgRock Records), a Star Trek graphic novel (DC/WildStorm), two Star Wars pop-up books, and original graphic novel Grumpy Old Monsters (IDW).

Kevin & I also worked with June Scobee Rodgers and the Challenger Centers for Space Science Education to create the middle grades adventure series Star Challengers, to encourage students to consider careers in science and technology.

I hold an MSBA from Boston University and have taught every grade level from kindergarten through junior college. I spent two years teaching management courses to US Army NCOs in Europe. I'm a mother, grandmother, final reader and copyeditor on my husband’s manuscripts, CEO of WordFire, Inc. (the company we own), and Publisher of WordFire Press.

I'm a devout Gadgetologist. If anything electric, electronic or mechanical is the newest, the latest, the greatest and best, I will undoubtedly want one. Indeed, I must eventually own one.

I've traveled extensively. The only continent my husband and I haven't visited together—yet—is Antarctica.
