I write epic Fantasy and Science Fiction. My work is inspired by my love of the Sci-Fi shows I watched growing up (Twilight Zone and Star Trek), my favorite books as a kid and young adult (A Wrinkle in Time, 1984), and my love of RPG video Games such as Dragon Age, Skyrim, and Elder Scrolls. I've been a nerd and sci-fi geek since long before it was remotely cool! ;-)

My first novels were written for the YA market, but my "voice" has aged up with each book I've written (now working on my seventh novel). My future works will not be YA.

I'm currently working on an epic fantasy story that is Wuxia inspired-think Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon meets Wheel of Time! I'm also working on a Sci-Fi novel that deals with AI and is very existential. In my spare time, I'm also writing two short stories for a folktale horror anthology.

I love to write, but there's more to life than fingers banging on the keyboard! I find travel super inspirational. So far I've been to eight countries. Ireland was my favorite (I did research there for Emily's House ;-), but I also had a blast in Paris and London.

I live in the desert southwest with my husband, teen daughter and two cat overlords, and spend too much time playing Elder Scrolls Online.
