I started writing in middle school, when I struggled with my own personal issues and was encouraged to use my writing as an outlet. I never shared my writing, not believing enough in myself to think it was good. In 2010, I met and lost my guardian angel. She was the first person in my life to ever read my books and her enthusiasm for my characters and my books gave me the confidence to share. In her death, I grew enough courage to expose myself and my writing. Since then, I have successfully sold copies of my first book on Nook and hope to continue writing.

Please don't get mad if I don't follow you. I don't follow a lot of people because the constant updates confuses me. It's nothing personal.

In case you're wondering (since I wonder about you), I'm a working mom of two very energetic young kids, wife of an ex-cop and a major free spirit who has done a lot in life.

I used to be a high-school history/psychology teacher until my daughters medical issues made me see the light of day and realize that I couldn't devote 100% of my time to my career. There are far more important things.
