Hello everyone!

I hope you're all well and doing alright.

First of all I have to apologise profusely for being away for so long, and especially for not replying to all the comments and messages I've been left here. I will reply to you personally soon.

Also, I'm very, very sorry for the abrupt stopping of updates for He's So Fine. Don't worry - I haven't given up on the story. I am still writing it. I hoped to have any update for you today, but it's not quite there yet.

Well, I had a bit of a rotten summer for a few personal reasons I won’t go into, so that was the initial reason I was absent for quite a while. And then... I got knocked up, in our Beatles fan fic lexicon (that's fell pregnant for any non-speakers!) It feels kind of strange writing that as I haven’t really told very many people yet, even though I’m 19 weeks along now (oh my goodness...)

Normally, this wouldn’t have had a drastic effect on writing, but oh my God, the morning sickness was bloody chronic! And looking at computer screens made it worse so that was another large reason for me being AWOL. When I wasn’t busy throwing up, I kinda felt like I’d been run over (so very tired) so that didn’t help either. I’m sort of coming out of that phase now, fingers crossed.

I hoped to have a He's So Fine update for today, but it's not quite done yet. However, I thought I would post a short preview of another story I have in the works currently. This section of it is called 'Strange Meeting' after a Wilfred Owen poem and although the story has nothing to do with war, today is Armistice Day and the 100th anniversary of the end of WW1, it seems apt. Wilfred Owen is something of a literary hero of mine. He wrote, or started to write, some of his poems while he lived at the hotel I worked at when I was 18.

Anyway, sorry it's not He's So Fine. I hope you will like it anyway!

So glad you’re doing well!! Congratulations on the baby, that’s very exciting! My thoughts are with you, and I hope everything goes smoothly! I’ve missed the story, but completely understand why you’ve taken time off! It’s easy to get burnt out on writing, especially when there are other (much bigger!) things going on.

Hello everyone again,

I'm sorry, there won't be an update again this weekend, and it's unlikely there will be one next weekend either. I'm sorry for the unexpected delay - think of it as a mid-season break.

Thank you all for reading my stories and for your patience. He's So Fine will be back shortly.

          Love To You all.

Hi Everyone,

Just to let you know in advance I won't have an update ready for tomorrow. I've not had a lot of time to write this week, and rather than post something rushed, I thought I'l roll over to next week. I'm away for work soon too, so it might be a little more erratic over the next couple of weeks. Sorry! Thank you all for reading, votes and comments and your continued support for the story.

In other news, Peace & Love and a very, very Happy Birthday to Ringo today!! xxxxxxx

An in other, other news... Come on, England! It's coming home!!

MissODell

@lowlifeinternetchick Thank you so much, sorry for my late reply. I'll be back soon. x

@geerawr Yes, do read @winstonian1 's story, it's excellent. I also highly recommend any stories by @kiwi747 , @jjdec8 and @dasliebchenkind - you can read Dasliebchenkind's stories at http://dasliebchenkind.com/ Out of those Dasliebchenkind's True Love Ways and Kiwi747's In Your Atmosphere are early Beatlemania days set stories, if I remember rightly. As for early Hamburg era stories, 'Like Dreamers Do' by Sandy Johnson is a classic Hamburg era story - http://web.archive.org/web/20041021173453/likedreamersdo.batcave.net/main.html - although only part one is complete.
That should keep you going for a little while ;)

Let me just say that when I read The Devil in her Heart for the first time, it was so well written that I thought it was a slightly modified biography for another band originally, and changed into The Beatles because plot. That's how well written it is.

@EarnestPublishing Hi,

Thank you very much, that's a really big compliment! I wrote Devil In Her Heart many years ago, and there are some elements I put in there where are spookily close to real life, but I didn't know anything about them at the time of writing. But - thankfully - most of DIHH is fictional! Thank you again. I'm glad you liked it.
