I just realized I never shared the short story I wrote in 2018 about the characters from "Hidden Magic" -- this takes place a few years later and is sort of a mini-sequel. After taking a year and a half hiatus from social media, I'm back! I've been working on my main series while I was away and I'm making progress with the books. Now that I'm back online, I'll be sharing short stories here again as I write them. I'm sharing a new novella here now, too! "Stuck With You" ( https://www.wattpad.com/story/162119819-stuck-with-you) is my most recently written story, so it's kind of neat to be sharing it at the same time as "Hidden Magic," which was written almost a decade ago. Each week I'll share one chapter, although this week I shared two because the first is short and more of an introduction to the story than a full chapter. :)

After a year away from it, I'm back to sharing "Hidden Magic"! (You can find that here: https://www.wattpad.com/story/119775512-hidden-magic ) The hiatus was unintentional and from here on out I'll be sharing the rest of the story regularly, probably a chapter or two a week. This was one of my very first stories and the one that gave me a love of writing, so it's neat reading it again after so long and seeing how far I've come. :)
Update time! I'm running a short story challenge with my writing partner-in-crime over on Tumblr (you can learn more about it here: http://merigreenleaf.tumblr.com/post/169170784050 ), so my goal this year is to write a short, under 1k word story every week or so. I'm not sure how successful this goal is going to be, but if it works out I'll be sharing stories here much more frequently. It's likely most (if not all) of them are going to go into the "Unexpected Inspiration- Short Stories" anthology, so feel free to add/follow that book if you want to know when I share new things. :)
Update time! I'm gradually getting back into sharing stories here. I had surgery last month and it made sitting at the computer difficult, so most of the writing I've been doing is in my notebooks. This means I haven't had a chance to edit "Hidden Magic" but my plan is that once I'm done the short story I'm working on, I'll start editing that one again so I can share the next chapters here. I have a few more "Unexpected Inspiration" stories to put up on here that are finished, then there's two longer ones that need editing before I can share them. Long story short, I'll be sharing stuff here again, but it's probably not going to be on any kind of schedule for a while.

NaNo is fast approaching, so I wanted to give a little update that I might be updating my stories here much more sporadically until the end of November. I'm scrambling to finish my rewrite of book 1 so that I can focus on the next draft of book 2 for NaNo. I might be able to fit in some updates for "Hidden Magic" and my "Unexpected Inspiration" short stories between now and then, but I can't say if they'll be weekly or not. I promise that I haven't forgotten about Wattpad and they will be updated again. :)
