Thank you for visiting my profile. I'm around here almost everyday and if I'm not, something peculiar has happened.
High stakes romance or women's fiction is my preferred reading choice and I rarely venture into other genres.
There are so many unputdownable reads on Wattpad and their quality, originality and inclusivity never ceases to amaze me. Numerous stories here in my opinion surpass those with high price tags and glossy advertising campaigns in bookshops.
It's great to be able to give my thoughts about plot, characters or any aspect of a story through the comments. Before I discovered Wattpad, nobody I knew was ever reading the same books and I really wanted to talk about them. Now I can interact with friendly and perceptive readers/authors.
If there is a competition or writing challenge, I probably won't enter but enjoy supporting others from the sidelines.
I was fifty years old when I took up creative writing and it occured in a rather unusual way. To make sense of strange happenings around me, I decided to fictionalise the characters, events and timeline. My instincts about what was going on, the evil miscreants and of course, the discredited whistleblowers (including myself) were correct. During this process, I became addicted to everything related to fiction writing. And particularly Wattpad.
That investigative story was set aside while justice is in the process of being done (and there were crafting issues with it). But I wrote another one.
And kept going!
I have now posted five completed stories that started from various Wattpad writing challenges. They've all ranked in the Chicklit top fifty and one of them even broke into the top ten.
In September 2016, I became a featured author in Chicklit with New Year's Baby. I'm still stunned that I was included, given the high standard of so many stories.
