Hi, I'm Maddie!
I am a fourteen year old girl who has a passion for writing and making people happy! Wait don't go...
I have a goal in life. A goal to be an inspiration to others. To show people that, if anyone in the world can do something they love, then why can't you?
So, why do I write?:
•to take my mind off of things. I can get very stressed about some things, and I find that writing for myself and others benefit, is very therapeutic.
•to prove a point. Just because I'm younger and a girl, does NOT mean I am incapable of doing what I love. I may not have done my GCSE's yet, have a decree in English or whatever, but I do have a passion for writing and it makes me happy, so yeah! In fact until now I've been quite secretive about who I am. I am a strong female and I do like to prove myself, even if it doesn't show sometimes.
•to boost my confidence. As much as I like to prove myself, I am not a very confident person -despite what everyone says. We live in the 21st century, where we are surrounded by the internet and social media. People are scared of it. I agree I am a little too, but if we let it show people will take advantage we will feel frustrated and upset and the bullies will have won. Let's switch it round and do the opposite shall we?
You know that boy you pushed over yesterday? He committed suicide last night. That girl you called fat? She's starving herself. And that boy you teased
for crying? His mother died. You know that man you made fun of for his scars? He fought for our country. That man you stole the little leather pouch from? He was homeless. And everybody else that you've been mean to? You've either hurt them real bad or ruined their life. Post this on your profile if you're against bullying.
Thank you for taking time out if you day to read this, and I hope that this has inspired you or made you walk away feeling stronger and taller then you were before.
