so I thought it was about time I changed the about me space, so here goes:
This year, a lot has happened to me, making me realize that life is too short to hold back, and sometimes life slaps you in the face, but you have to punch it back. I learned that when you accept something, you're not moving on and forgetting it, you're just beginning to become more okay with it.
I believe everybody has a gift. Be it in an artistic department, athletic, or even academic.
I have been learning ballet for about 11-12 years now, and have been doing piano for 5-6 years. I'm gifted at neither, but I love doing both, so I persevere.
Writing and analyzing is my only gift, and I'd like to think that people enjoy reading what I write.
Music and books are my life. I read pretty much anything except for sci-fi and history books.
Otherwise, I exclusively listen to 60s to beginning of 80s music, post-hardcore and some classical. After that, everything was becoming crap. Like ABBA (no offense, but I despise them). Now I also listen to screamo. :3
I cannot leave the house without:
-My iPod
-my notebooks and a pen for when i get inspired to write
-my sketch book and drawing utensils
-my video camera
I'm a very artsy person, as you've probably guessed, and that's because my mom's gift is drawing, and my grandma (whom I've never met) designed her clothes and actually made them from scratch. (how cool is that?)
I love handiwork, because I grew up in a household where my dad was always fixing about and inventing weird stuff.
I make my own jewelry from scratch (hence the handiwork)
I don't dress like anybody else, and cannot go out of the house in just sweats and a shirt, except if it's the look i'm going for that day.
My family is a big part of my life, and even though I'm at that teen stage where you hate your folks, I still love them to bits (little annoying sister included).
