DE Navarro - Author, Poet, Editor, Publisher, Speaker and Life Coach
DE Navarro was born in Newport, Rhode Island but grew up in inner city Chicago, then rural Crown Point, Indiana and finally suburban Munster, Indiana until he went to Purdue University, Indiana where he majored in English and literature. DE says "growing up as a city boy, country boy and child of nature gave me a diverse and eclectic background. The city gave me my feet, a foundation for action; the country gave me my hands, a work ethic; and nature forged my heart, compassion for what is real and true in life."
He was first published in 1980 in the Purdue Exponent. Hundreds of his poems, articles, essays, and stories have been published in various magazines, journals, and anthologies ever since. He has worked in the writing and editing field for over thirty years.
He is the Founder of NavWorks Press, and the originator and owner of the We Write Poetry™ forum (Wordshop™) and the Pride in Poetry Prize™ and Publication series. Through his forums and classes he mentors writers and poets. Publications: Between Life and Language, 2009, Dare to Soar, 2013, Dropping Ants into Poems, 2016 and Sometimes Anyway, 2017.
