DE Navarro is a writer, editor, poet, publisher, speaker and minister who lives in the Greater Los Angeles area. DE was born in Newport, Rhode Island, but grew up in inner city Chicago, then rural Crown Point, Indiana and finally suburban Munster, Indiana until he went to college at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. DE says "growing up as a city boy, country boy and child of nature gave me a diverse and eclectic background. The city gave me my feet, a foundation for action; the country gave me my hands, a work ethic; and nature forged my heart, compassion for what is real and true in life."

In 1980 he became a published poet in the Purdue Exponent. He has worked in the writing and editing field for over thirty years. Hundreds of his poems, articles and essays have been published in various magazines, publications, literary journals, anthologies, and online. He also runs a poetry forum where he mentors writers and poets. Dare to Soar (2013) is a collection of powerful and readable poetry that takes the reader on an epic journey through 150 poems that explore life, the world, humanity, self, the city, country, nature, people, society, and spirituality.
