Hello; thanks for stopping by.

My name Christos Polydorou, author of the fantasy title The Trowler, Troll and Trouble. I was born and raised on the island of Cyprus. In 2007 I graduated with a BA in English Literature from Queens University (CUNY) in New York, and the following year I completed my MA degree in Linguistics at UCL, London. I officially, and professionally, began my writing career soon after graduating, my first novel, The Trowler, Troll and Trouble taking a near three years to finish. The inspiration for the book was the countless stories of child exploitation, in any and every form, and the impact it has on the course of one's future, the seeds of fate that it sows, the causality that it reaps. This eventually became the backbone and dominating theme of the novel, and, while watching one evening a short clip on Elisa Izquierdo's brief and tragic life, Mary Marlowe was born, fully and vividly, in my mind. The sequel is now already underway of what will eventually become known as the Grimshaw trilogy. Apart from the Grimshaw trilogy, I am currently setting up several other projects of various genres and themes.

Beyond writing, I also maintain a steady occupation as a teacher of English as a Second Language and freelancing as a proof-reader, editor and translator (Greek and English), based both in Cyprus and the UK.

In my personal life, I am a proud husband and father. I am an addict of films and TV shows of all sorts (fantasy and sci-fi being particular favourites), I read regularly, both books and comic books. I occasionally draw, more so digitally as of late. I love playing sports more than watching them. I am a gamer too, my guilty pleasure. I also love owls.

Should you happen to read my work, please leave a review with your honest opinion; it will benefit me greatly. There are a number of ways to connect with me, so please go for it, don't be shy.

Once again, thank you for taking the time to read this.
