About

I am a former infantryman in the United States Marine Corps. During my time in the military, I was assigned to the Delta Company Outlaws, Second Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, Second Marine Division. My travels have taken me from the Mediterranean and Kosovo to Djibouti, the United Arab Emirates, and Fallujah.

Following an honorable discharge from the Marines, I went on to complete my bachelor’s degree in business management from Rowan University, my master’s from Georgian Court University, and finally, another bachelor’s in web design and development from Full Sail University. I began my civilian career as a contract specialist for the United States Army and have worked my way through various positions to finally end up as a business systems analyst with the Department of Veterans Affairs.

I am happily married to my wife, Melissa, and we are the proud parents of two little boys, Joshua and Gavin.
My book, Memoirs of an Outlaw, is finally available on Amazon in either Kindle or Paperback format! See link below for more details!

If you care to take a look, I've designed a website for the book as well as set up a Facebook page for it.

Dear Mr.Bob Tanner,

Your story has helped my with my life. My stepdad is currently in deployment on the uss NewYork, for the Navy. I am the oldest of six, and as many others know. It is hard to run a famliy or a life without a dad, husband, or even friends. Your story has helped me get through. I have showed it to my friends and twin and they all love it. My twin saw how much I loved it so she got me a paper back copy. I was so happy. I hope that you, your wife, and kids have a great day. My mom always said, " we would send then out and make a cycle, just so they can come back and break it causing mass destruction. " I thank you for your service and God bless you and your family. - Anna, or puppy lover
