Betsy Ashton, born in Washington, DC, was raised in Southern California where she ran wild with coyotes in the hills above Malibu. Although she protested the war in Vietnam, burned her bra for feminism, and is a steadfast Independent, she ultimately realized that she had to earn a living. She counts herself a survivor of the corporate brainwashing, because she still has the ability to think. Not outside the box or any other cliche, but creatively and objectively. Married for over thirty years to the same man, she defines herself as a writer, a thinker, the mother of three grown stepchildren, companion and friend. She loves riding behind her husband on his motorcycle. You'll have to decide for yourself if and where she has a tattoo.

Betsy is the president of the state-wide Virginia Writers Club, one of the oldest continually functioning writers club in the country. She is the author of Mad Max Unintended Consequences and Uncharted Territory, published by Koehler Books.
