Whether by trade or vocation, writing is what I do. I'm one of those folks who has always got more than a few irons in the fire. I'm mostly a novelist. I still do some freelance journalism. I give all kinds of talks and classes. And I make and sell my own artisanal soap.

The thing is, I'm curious about darned near everything. Which is why I have a hard time settling down to just one type of fiction or even non-fiction.
