❝Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.❞
Salve! My name is Amber. I'm a Christian obsessed with anything science-related (psychology and outer space, to be exact) that also happens to write books about dragons and people falling in love and dystopias that could become our future. I probably think too much for my age, and one glance at my activity will reveal I have a knack for getting into debates with people over politics and religion.
I'm learning Latin and play violin in my free time, and you can probably find me on my bed furiously typing away at keys or thinking up ways to torture my characters in between classes. I'm a hopeless romantic, but that doesn't mean I will automatically give my characters happy endings (you've been warned).
My fandoms include The Twilight Zone (my all-time favorite TV show), Once Upon a Time, Star Wars, Star Trek, Six of Crows (my all-time favorite series), all of Marie Lu's books, Harry Potter, and Percy Jackson. This list will grow extensively long as I read more and more.
❝Any state, entity, or ideology becomes obsolete when it stockpiles the wrong weapons: when it captures territories, but not minds; when it enslaves millions, but convinces nobody. When it is naked, yet puts on armor and calls it faith, while in the Eyes of God it has no faith at all. Any state, any entity, any ideology which fails to recognize the worth, the dignity, the rights of Man--that state is obsolete.❞
❝Have you any idea how much tyrants fear the people they oppress? All of them realize that, one day, amongst their many victims, there is sure to be one that rises against them and strikes back!❞
❝There must be something in books, something we can't imagine, to make a woman stay in a burning house; there must be something there. You don't stay for nothing.❞
